We are using the start of the month as an excuse to launch #projectofthemonth.
On this section, we’ll open up and show you the different stages of a project, and the challenges we encountered and had to overcome!

Ramp House shaped is in many ways.
The plot’s particular location and orientation, together with our clients requirements, created a complex challenge that took us many hours until we got to the final result.

This month we’ll focus on Rampa House, and showcase the behind the scenes that happens in every project. You’ll see how we work and live our passion for architecture.
The house is located in a closed community in southern Argentina. Toward the back of the plot, we encounter a wide river, surrounded by natural forests.
The North, the best orientation in our hemisphere, is at the front of the plot. With that in mind, we started the game between the house volume and the plot, looking for the best match: maximize views and get the best shading.
Through this study, we learnt that locating the house at the front, as it’s usually done, would result on a shaded garden and would also cut the visuals to the river considerably. That’s why we went for a compact volume, placed towards the back of the plot.
This way, we took full advantage of the most important views, and the garden that was created towards the front would receive the Northern sun. After this, we stared working with the plans and volumes side by side.
The functional program comprehends the social area, with a public area and a more private realx area; and the private area divided in guest-rooms and the master suite.
These functions have dialogue in section, where a green central space integrates all of them.
The guest-rooms and relaxing area, such us the spa, gallery and swimming pool are all located on the ground floor.
The social areas are located on the first floor, with clear open view to the water. On a half level up, we find the master suite, with easy access to the keys areas of the house.
